JAKE Stringer could return from a knee injury for the Western Bulldogs' clash with St Kilda at Etihad Stadium on Saturday.
The 23-year-old has missed the past two games with a medial ligament strain sustained in the round seven win over Richmond.
Bulldogs medical services manager Chris Bell told westernbulldogs.com.au Stringer was progressing well.
"He's in line to resume training with the group this week and we'll go through our normal processes to determine if he's available to play," Bell said.
But news isn't good for defender Matthew Boyd, with the veteran to miss at least another week with a shoulder complaint.
The return date for Stewart Crameri is also unclear, with the 28-year-old to undergo surgery on Monday on his troublesome hip.
"Over the last four to five weeks, Stewart has suffered symptoms associated with some wear and tear in his hip joint," Bell said.
"I'm afraid to say conservative management has been limited and he's continued to suffer symptoms that restrict his function.
"We'll have a better idea of his return-to-play plan following (surgery)."
Impressive draftee Patrick Lipinski (collarbone) and exciting rookie Brad Lynch (hamstring) are both expected to be available for selection after the club's bye in round 11.
