DON'T do a double take on Friday night when Geelong runs out for the first game of the JLT series wearing short-sleeves.
It's not the warm-up jumper.
No, the new-look guernseys the Cats will wear throughout the pre-season series represent the changing face (or should we write torso) of football.
Designed by the Cats' apparel partner COAR (Cotton On Active Range), the tops feature the Cats' famous hoops across the chest with a big G on the players' Guts, which obviously symbolises Geelong.
Always ready to embrace something innovative, it was up to Geelong veteran defender Harry Taylor to talk up the new range of pre-season wear after training on Monday.
"We're all pretty proud to be putting them on," Taylor said
"There will be some guys putting it [the pre-season guernsey] on for the first time for the Cats on Friday night, which will be very exciting for them and their families."
Among the possible first-timers for the Cats on Friday night are local defender Tom Stewart, who has not missed a beat after being drafted in the 2016 NAB AFL Draft, and Geelong's first pick in the 2016 NAB AFL Draft, lively forward Brandan Parfitt.
