WEST Coast youngster Tom Lamb could be headed home to Victoria to seek more opportunities after just one senior game in three seasons at the club. 

AFL.com.au understands the 20-year-old is very happy at the Eagles and loves living in Perth, but he's grown impatient under coach Adam Simpson after debuting in round one of 2015, his first season in the AFL. 

Out of contract, Lamb's future should become clearer in an exit meeting scheduled for this week, with the Edithvale-Aspendale product yet to be told whether he'll be part of the "completely different" list Simpson declared the Eagles would have in 2018 following their semi-final thrashing at the hands of Greater Western Sydney. 

It's unlikely Lamb will be delisted before next month's NAB AFL free agency and trade periods, with Collingwood and Sydney understood to be long-time admirers of the 193cm utility with elite endurance. 

Inconsistency has plagued Lamb since he was a highly rated prospect at the Dandenong Stingrays in the TAC Cup, but his athletic qualities and undoubted football smarts are a tantalising combination.   

Since being selected with pick 32 in the 2014 NAB AFL Draft, the AFL Academy graduate was trialled as a key forward with limited success before a move to the wing and half-forward saw him play his best football with East Perth in the WAFL.

Across 18 games with the Eagles' state league affiliate this season, he averaged 16 possessions and kicked 21 goals.

Lamb has a rich league football pedigree, with his father Wayne playing 21 games for Melbourne and Fitzroy and his grandfather Ian Cooper a member of St Kilda's 1966 premiership side. 

With Simpson predicting big changes to the club's list, it will be interesting to see whether out-of-contract veterans Mark LeCras, Eric Mackenzie, Sharrod Wellingham, Josh Hill and Jonathan Giles have a future at the Eagles. 

It is believed LeCras and Mackenzie have been offered one-year extensions.

Veterans Matt Priddis, Sam Mitchell and Drew Petrie have all retired.
