The inside word
The son of Neil Lester-Smith, three-time leading goalkicker for East Fremantle, he will be a father-son rookie draft pre-selection to Fremantle unless another club elects to take him earlier. Lester-Smith is a very talented half-forward who showed tremendous smarts and decision-making in the WAFL this season, particularly around goals where he only requires limited opportunities to hurt his opposition. His lateral movement and very good leg speed makes him just as dangerous at ground level and very difficult to match up on. He kicked 43 goals in 16 senior matches before tearing the lateral meniscus in his knee in late July.
