- Fremantle dumps veterans Michael Barlow and Zac Dawson
- Lewis Jetta dropped for West Coast's clash with St Kilda
- Hawthorn superstar Cyril Rioli out due to family illness

YOUNG Western Bulldogs midfielder Bailey Williams will make his AFL debut against Melbourne at the MCG on Sunday.

The ultra-competitive 18-year-old from Glenelg comes in as the Dogs only change, replacing mature-age surprise packet Marcus Adams (finger), who is set for a stint on the sidelines after an impressive start to his AFL career.

Christian Salem returns for the Demons after missing the win over Gold Coast with concussion. He replaces Dean Kent (back) as the only change.

West Coast veteran Sam Butler returns against St Kilda on Sunday at Domain Stadium after missing the loss to Geelong with a groin issue.

The premiership defender replaces underperforming recruit Lewis Jetta who has been sent back to the WAFL to find some form.

Jetta has looked out-of-sorts since arriving in the west, and has averaged only 12 disposals in six games for his new club, with a nine-disposal effort in last week's belting from Geelong the tipping point.

Teams: this round's full line-ups

The Saints have lost Sam Fisher (soreness) in a big boost for the Eagles' tall forwards and Darren Minchington has been dropped. Dylan Roberton and Jack Sinclair come into the side.

Carlton has named an unchanged side for the Sunday meeting with Port Adelaide at Etihad Stadium.

Port has included Karl Amon at the expense of new recruit Jimmy Toumpas.

Richmond and the Sydney Swans have both made late changes on Friday ahead of Saturday night's clash at the MCG. Bachar Houli has been ruled for the Tigers with a wrist injury with Taylor Hunt coming in as the replacement.

Swans midfielder Josh Kennedy has been ruled out with a hamstring problem, paving the way for exciting youngster Jack Hiscox to make his debut.

Meanwhile, Dockers boss Ross Lyon has chopped Michael Barlow and Zac Dawson from the team to face Hawthorn in Launceston.

The Hawks will be without superstar Cyril Rioli (family illness), but welcome back champion midfielder Sam Mitchell and key defender James Frawley.

Collingwood has sent youngster James Aish back to the VFL to find some form, while regaining Travis Varcoe (hamstring) and Taylor Adams (knee) for the crunch clash with the Brisbane Lions.

NAB AFL Rising Star winner Lewis Taylor and Daniel Merrett have been recalled by Lions coach Justin Leppitsch.

Star defender Alex Rance is back from suspension for Richmond's daunting task against the Sydney Swans, who have also regained a key backman after Ted Richards' recovery from a fractured cheekbone.

Lindsay Thomas and Majak Daw have been given the nod for North Melbourne's meeting with Essendon at Etihad Stadium, with the Bombers bringing back young star Darcy Parish among four changes.

Greater Western Sydney academy gun Jacob Hopper is in for his debut in the battle of the expansion clubs, with the Suns making six changes to the side that was belted by Melbourne.

Adelaide livewire Wayne Milera will get a taste of a blockbuster on Friday night when Patrick Dangerfield's Geelong rolls into town for a sold-out clash at Adelaide Oval.

The Crows have made just one change, with David Mackay (hamstring) out, while the Cats have added Jed Bews and Cory Gregson for Lincoln McCarthy (ankle) and Nakia Cockatoo (knee).

After serving a one-match suspension for rough conduct, small forward Thomas comes straight back into North Melbourne's side to face Essendon and Daw and Brad McKenzie are in for their first games this season.

The undefeated Roos will be without Shaun Higgins (knee) for up to three months, while veterans Daniel Wells (corked leg) and Michael Firrito (rested) are also out of the side aiming for an 8-0 start.

The Bombers have lost Courtenay Dempsey (hamstring), Jonathan Simpkin (hamstring) and Shaun McKernan (quad) to injury, while James Gwilt has been rested.

Youngsters Parish, Conor McKenna, Kyle Langford and Patrick Ambrose have been recalled.

Saturday afternoon's other match will see a youthful and winless Fremantle facing the massive task of taking on Hawthorn at Aurora Stadium.

The Dockers have rested former skipper Matthew Pavlich for the long trip as they bid to become the first team to knock off the Hawks in Launceston in 17 games.

Ross Lyon has dropped Dawson and Barlow, who had only 15 disposals in the last week's loss to GWS, with Clancee Pearce, Ed Langdon and Zac Clarke getting the call up.

Hawks youngster Kieran Lovell has been left out alongside RIoli for the returning Mitchell and Frawley.

In a feel-good story, GWS has brought back Tim Mohr from two knee reconstructions to replace co-captain Phil Davis' (hamstring), whose shocking run with injury has continued, and Toby Greene also misses the intriguing Suns clash with general soreness.

Injury-hit Gold Coast has six changes. In come Callum Ah Chee, Tom Nicholls, Keegan Brooksby, Brandon Matera, Matt Shaw and Jack Leslie to the side seeking to arrest a four-game losing slide.

Out go Henry Schade and Jarrod Garlett (omitted), while Matt Rosa (hamstring), Alex Sexton (arm), Clay Cameron (knee) and ruckman Daniel Currie (hip) are injured.

Richmond skipper Trent Cotchin has failed to recover from a broken cheekbone in time to face the Sydney Swans on Saturday night and the Tigers have lost Kamdyn McIntosh (ankle) for two months after a training incident.

Rance and Dylan Grimes come into the team, with Jason Castagna omitted.

Swans defender Ted Richards (cheekbone) returns after two weeks out alongside Dean Towers, while Dean Robinson (shoulder) and Ben McGlynn (corked thigh) make way.

Lions pair Lewis Taylor and Daniel Merrett missed the loss to Port Adelaide, but they've been given a reprieve for injured skipper Tom Rockliff (hamstring) and young defender Harris Andrews (foot).
