A NUMBER of former AFL players will audition for second chances at the top level when they run out in the state game between the SANFL and VFL at Adelaide Oval on Sunday.
 
Recently delisted players Lauchlan Dalgleish (Essendon), Sam Darley (Greater Western Sydney and the Western Bulldogs) and Max Warren (North Melbourne) will represent the VFL after being cut at the end of last season.
 
VFL captain Jordan Russell (Carlton and Collingwood), Sam Dunell (St Kilda) and Peter Faulks (Sydney Swans and Fremantle) will also play in the showpiece state match.
 
Recent draftees to come out of the annual state game include Brett Goodes (Western Bulldogs), Sam Lloyd, Adam Marcon and Kane Lambert (Richmond), Dean Towers (Sydney Swans) and Kyle Hartigan (Adelaide).
 
Western Bulldogs first-round draft pick Christian Howard, who was delisted at the end of 2014, will represent the SANFL, as will former Port Adelaide forward Cameron Hitchcock.
 
Mitch Clisby, who was delisted by Melbourne at the end of 2014 and also represented Essendon as a top-up player last year, will also run out for the SANFL.
 
Hawthorn premiership player Andy Collins will coach the VFL team, with inaugural Adelaide coach Graham Cornes leading the SANFL line-up.
 
The VFL team will have its final training session at IKON Park on Saturday morning before flying out to Adelaide.
