May 9-15 is National Volunteer Week.

Each year the AFL recognises volunteers/administrators for their outstanding contribution to Australian Football through the State Volunteer of the Year program.

Each club, league or association is invited to nominate an outstanding volunteer. The volunteer may have contributed to the completion of a significant project throughout the year or may be someone who has contributed in a number of roles over a long period.
