NORTH Melbourne will honour Drew Petrie in his 300th game with a special edition jumper.
Petrie, 33, is set to become the fifth Kangaroo to reach the 300-game milestone in round seven, when North takes on St Kilda at Etihad Stadium on Sunday.
The Roos' jumper that day will be tagged on the front with "3dp" in recognition of Petrie's achievement.
The jumpers worn by North's 22 players will be auctioned after the match, while 20 replicas will be on sale via the Roo Shop, along with additional commemorative merchandise.
North honoured Brent Harvey in his 400th game last year with a special jumper and plans to do so again if the five-time best and fairest winner breaks Michael Tuck's AFL games record (426).
Petrie is set to join North greats Harvey (415 games), Glenn Archer (311), Wayne Schimmelbusch and Adam Simpson (both 306) in the '300 club'.
If the spearhead plays every remaining match in the home and away season, he will climb to second on North's games list with 315.
Petrie has been North's leading goalkicker in five of the past seven seasons – and played just two games in 2010 because of injury.
Recruited from the North Ballarat Rebels with pick No.23 in the 2000 national draft, Petrie has kicked 409 goals (seventh on North's all-time goalkicking list).
Petrie made the All Australian team in 2011 and finished runner-up in North's best and fairest award in 2008.
