JORDAN Lewis' manager is continuing talks with Hawthorn and Melbourne, but denies the star midfielder is "angry" or "filthy" with the Hawks.
Despite Hawthorn's recruiting chief Graham Wright claiming on Friday that the vice-captain wouldn't be traded, the Demons are still chasing Lewis and his manager Liam Pickering is seeing where the situation leads.
Hodgey's text to Mitchell on the trade
"Well that's what we're working through at the moment, so we'll wait and see on that one. Let's see how it all unfolds," Pickering told SEN.
"But I'm having good dialogue with both Melbourne and also the Hawks. There's no issues, he's not filthy, he's not angry.
"Lewy, he's a professional, he's the vice-captain of the club, he finished second in their (best and fairest) last week. Whatever happens will happen.
"He's a Hawthorn player at the moment, so the good chance will be that he'd be a Hawthorn player because he's contracted to Hawthorn.
"But I need to keep working through it with Jordan and we'll see where it goes.
"I'm only doing what Jordan wants me to do, that's all I'll say."

A trade bombshell landed on Thursday when it emerged Lewis, through his manager, had spoken to the Demons about a potential trade following a discussion about his future with Hawks coach Alastair Clarkson several weeks ago.
But after the stunning news broke that champion onballer Sam Mitchell was likely to be traded to West Coast, the Hawks assured Lewis he was a required player.
The 30-year-old is contracted but will be a free agent at the end of next season.

Pickering, who was formerly Clarkson's manager, said he hasn't spoken to the four-time premiership coach about Lewis' situation.
"I'm hardly going to inflame a situation with a club like Hawthorn, let me put it that way," Pickering said.
"Alastair Clarkson's a friend of mine … I haven't spoken to him about this, no. I'm not his manager anymore, I'm Jordan Lewis' manager.
"I deal with Graham Wright, who's the list manager, that's his job.
"Clarko and Lewy had conversations, that's how they work. I don't want to get involved in that because it's nothing to do with me."

Hawthorn has been the major player in this year's NAB AFL Trade Period, already landing Sydney Swans ball magnet Tom Mitchell and Richmond free agent Ty Vickery.
The Hawks also swooped late on Friday for St Kilda's pick 10 in a deal which could help them secure wantaway Gold Coast star Jaeger O'Meara.
Speedy winger Billy Hartung and popular clubman Brendan Whitecross have been linked to moves to the Brisbane Lions and, if the Hawks agree to also trade Lewis, a deal must be struck before Thursday's 2pm NAB AFL Trade Period deadline.

"It's not done yet, we just need to keep working on it," Pickering said.
"The reality is, let's all be mature about it, if it happens it happens."
