GEELONG's peak form is "unbelievable" and still good enough to win the premiership, says superstar Patrick Dangerfield.
The Cats defeated third-last Fremantle at Domain Stadium on Friday night by 17 points in yet another scrappy performance.
That result came off the back of successive losses to St Kilda and the Sydney Swans.
However, Dangerfield told ABC radio on Saturday the Cats have a lot left to give.
"I've got no doubt that our best footy is as good as anyone, if not better, in the competition," Dangerfield said.
"I think our best is unbelievable."
The 26-year-old was singing a different tune just last Saturday, telling SEN his side was "mediocre" if it did not have everyone contributing.
"We've got to make sure that we can deliver that on a consistent basis. At the moment, we're not able to do that. We're grinding away, and we need to find ways to win," Dangerfield said.
"But I'm confident, come the right time of the year, we can get back to our very, very best."
Geelong is 6-2 against teams currently sitting in the top-eight and face Dangerfield’s old team Adelaide next week at Simonds Stadium.
The Brownlow Medal favourite hurt his shoulder in a marking contest on Friday night against the Dockers but assured all that he would be fit and ready to face the Crows.
