JONATHAN Giles, Mitch Brown and Tom Barrass will all travel with the West Coast squad to Adelaide ahead of Friday night's clash with the Crows at Adelaide Oval.
But the Eagles are yet to decide on what they will do with their ruck combination.
They have lost Nic Naitanui for the remainder of this season and the majority of next year after requiring a traditional knee reconstruction.
Naitanui did miss six weeks earlier in the year after having surgery to remove the plantaris tendons in both heels following the loss to the Crows in round 12.
The Eagles tried four different ruck combinations in those games with Scott Lycett partnering Giles, Brown and Jeremy McGovern at different stages.
Giles and Fraser McInnes were the combination against the Brisbane Lions in round 13 when Lycett served a club imposed one-match suspension.
Coach Adam Simpson confirmed that both Giles and Brown would travel as part of the 25-man squad but he said the experimentation during Naitanui's absence earlier in the year had not provided any definitive answers for this week
"Not really," Simpson said.
"It was good to see that we could trial a few things. I wouldn't say that any of them were above the other. It depends on who you play as well and what kind of match-ups you want."
Jack Darling also pinch hit in the ruck last Friday night after Naitanui went down early in the third term. Simpson said earlier this week that the Eagles could consider using Darling but it would appear unlikely.
Lycett has been battling soreness after copping another knock to the knee last week but Simpson said he would be fine to play.
"He's had this type of knock to his knee two or three times and he's always come up and he's pulled up really well," Simpson said.
"So it's just management early in the week and he'll train tomorrow and he'll play.
"I think Scott's ready to take on the mantle. He's got no choice. He's had experience for five or six weeks in that role, under a little bit of duress when he was playing as well, with his body.
"I think he's performed really well this year. I think he's probably had his best season so far and we're keen to see what he's got left in store for us."
Barrass was rested last week after some concerns that he had developed some shin soreness. He has been cleared to play after training this week but Simpson could not guarantee his return into the starting 22.
Simpson said it was vital to get the composition of the defence right given the Crows were the number one scoring team in the competition.
