GREATER Western Sydney is sitting pretty in third spot on the back of a club-record sixth straight win, but the loss of two more defenders is set to test them over the next month.
Matt Buntine (concussion) looks certain to miss next Saturday's clash with Adelaide, while Tim Mohr (hamstring) is set for yet another stint on the sidelines after he limped from the ground in the first term of the Giants' 25-point win over the Dogs.
The pair joins co-captain Phil Davis (hamstring), Aidan Corr (ankle) and Caleb Marchbank (ankle) on the injury list, with the positive being that Davis is a chance to return to face his former side Adelaide next week.
Nick Haynes was also slightly concussed against the Bulldogs but should be fit to face the Crows, according to the club.
Coach Leon Cameron said the Giants would be cautious with Buntine given his recent history with concussion, with the backman knocked out twice in the second half of last season.
"We've just got to wait and see how Matty (Buntine) is, he's had a few little head knocks in the past so we've got to make sure we look after him," he said.

With tall forwards Josh Jenkins, Taylor Walker and Tom Lynch all in good touch for the Crows, Cameron will have some headaches at the selection table this week.
Versatile key position player Adam Tomlinson had 52 possessions in the NEAFL to press his claims for a recall, and Cameron said he'd have no trouble using the 22-year-old in defence against Adelaide.
Power forward Jon Patton was also used in the backline at times against the Bulldogs and could also be an option.
While the tall options might be limited, the Giants' small defenders continued their brilliant start to the season, in particular Heath Shaw, who was close to the best man on the ground against the Dogs.
The reigning club champion picked up a game-high 38 disposals – of which 36 were effective kicks - and had 14 rebound 50s for the winners.
"It's his third year, he's playing some great footy again and he's just such a competitor," Cameron said.
"The good thing about having (Shane) Mumford, (Heath) Shaw, (Steve) Johnson, (Ryan) Griffen, these sort of players at your footy club, is that they want to play every week.
"Going to them and saying 'listen, do you need a week off?', is dangerous for me.
"Heath Shaw is a super competitor and he wants to win every contest he competes in.
"I thought he played a really smart game.
"He knows when to defend, he knows when to make sure he gets some of the footy.
"It's good that Zac (Williams) and Nathan Wilson have someone to look up too every week they roll out."
