GREATER Western Sydney forward Jeremy Cameron has been sent straight to the Tribunal for his high bump that left Brisbane Lion Rhys Mathieson with a fractured cheekbone.

Geelong youngster Nakia Cockatoo can accept two weeks for his dangerous tackle on Fremantle defender Michael Johnson, while Carlton midfielder Dale Thomas and Lions forward Dayne Zorko can both accept one week for striking offences. 

Cameron was charged with engaging in rough conduct, with the impact to Mathieson's head considered severe and the conduct judged careless.

The incident occurred in the third quarter of the Giants' win last Sunday at Metricon Stadium. Since the incident has been referred straight to the tribunal, Cameron cannot accept an early plea.

An early guilty plea would have reduced his punishment by 25 per cent. 

Cats youngster Cockatoo can accept a two-game suspension for engaging in rough conduct against Johnson in the fourth quarter last Saturday.

Cockatoo threw the Docker to the ground in a dangerous tackle that appeared to leave the Fremantle defender unconscious. He was helped from the field by trainers and took no further part in the game.

Meanwhile, Blues midfielder Thomas will miss round one if he accepts a one-game ban for striking Sydney Swan Jeremy Laidler in the first quarter of the match last Friday. Thomas's strike was assessed intentional, with low impact to the head.

Lions leader Zorko can accept a one-match ban for striking Giant Phil Davis in the third quarter on Sunday, just moments after Cameron had collected Mathieson high.  

Port Adelaide mid Hamish Hartlett is free to play in round one following his headbutt on Richmond's Jacob Townsend in the third quarter last Saturday. The MRP said the force used was below that required to constitute a reportable offence.

Richmond's Dustin Martin, Port Adelaide's Jarman Impey and Carlton's Andrew Walker were all fined for wrestling. Hawthorn's Blake Hardwick was also fined for striking North Melbourne's Todd Goldstein.
