PORT Adelaide midfielder Hamish Hartlett has flown into Melbourne on Tuesday afternoon amid speculation he will meet with rival clubs ahead of the NAB AFL Trade Period.
Hartlett is contracted until the end of 2021 but appears to be on the move as Port looks to make changes after another disappointing season that saw them miss the finals for the second straight year.
The Power vice-captain arrived in Melbourne with his manager Michael Doughty and was greeted at the gate by Power assistant coach Nathan Bassett.
He was tight-lipped on his future and did not want to discuss the prospect of meeting with rival clubs, joking that he was in Melbourne to pick up new golf clubs.
Hartlett last year knocked back lucrative offers from Richmond and North Melbourne to sign a five-year extension with Port Adelaide.
The 26-year-old's value has likely decreased this season after finishing outside the top 10 in his club's best and fairest for the first time since 2012.
He played 15 games, with his season finishing in round 18 because of a calf injury.
Port is still likely to demand a first-round pick as compensation for Hartlett should he decide to move.
Given the versatile midfielder is contracted for another five seasons, both parties will need to agree to a trade for it to go through once the official exchange period opens on Monday.
