FOR COACHES who have already won through to the prelim, the burning question is whether to double downgrade this week in order to have the cash for two significant upgrades before their next match-up.

Although I am a fan of sticking to traditional trades, this strategy certainly has merit for teams with a week off that are considered complete. No doubt this will generate plenty of conversation during the chat.

Picking the right captain could be the difference between moving on and organising Mad Monday, and this week there a plenty of options with favourable matchups for a handful of our Fantasy stars, having said that, the Pig Tom Rockliff (MID, $596,000) showed last week why it is risky to take the C off him. If you need a POD however, Calvin will release his top five as well as a few smokies to help get you over the line.

As with last week, many coaches are finalising their forward line and money is obviously tight, with under-priced players such as Luke Dahlhaus (FWD/MID, $430,000), Toby Greene (FWD/MID, $455,000) and Devon Smith (FWD, $429,000) the main candidates vying for the position.
