The AFL wishes to advise the Match Review Panel has reviewed the matches played in week one of the 2016 NAB Challenge. The following charges were laid:
Aaron Sandilands, Fremantle, has been charged with engaging in rough conduct against Ben Griffiths, Richmond, during the third quarter of the Round One NAB Challenge match between Fremantle and Richmond, played at Mandurah on Friday February 19, 2016.
In summary, his two-game penalty can be reduced to a one-match sanction with an early guilty plea.
Based on the available video evidence and a medical report from the Richmond Football Club, the incident was assessed as careless conduct with medium impact to the head.
