SUNDAY will mark the 38th Showdown between the Crows and the Power since Port entered the AFL in 1997. For durable Crow Scott Thompson, it will be his 22nd consecutive game against his club's most hated rivals.
The former Demon is already nine Showdowns ahead of the next challenger in this streak, Port captain Travis Boak who has played in 12 straight clashes against Adelaide.
Thompson has already missed two games this season after pre-season knee surgery but when Port comes to play, he's been ready every time for the past 10 years.
On Friday night, Magpie Dane Swan and Blue Kade Simpson will notch their 20th straight Collingwood v Carlton games. It will take them at least another five years to chase down the record holder in this category, legendary Carlton ruckman John Nicholls, who didn't miss one game in 30 against the Magpies.
Check out who else is challenging history this weekend.
