- Hawks axe Will Langford for clash with Crows
- Swans co-captain Kieren Jack fails to prove fitness
- Adelaide drops midfielder Rory Atkins for Jarryd Lyons
HAWTHORN has dumped attacking premiership midfielder Will Langford for Friday night's semi-final against Adelaide at the MCG, and recalled swingman Ryan Schoenmakers to replace the injured Jack Gunston.
Billy Hartung is the Hawks' other inclusion after being named as their travelling emergency last week for the qualifying final loss to West Coast.
Gunston will miss the final with the ankle he injured last week against the Eagles, while Matt Suckling is scheduled to play his 100th game.
Langford has been named as an emergency along with Jon Ceglar and Angus Litherland.
As expected, the Crows have barely tinkered with their line up, but have recalled midfielder Jarryd Lyons at the expense of the omitted Rory Atkins, who was subbed out last week against the Western Bulldogs.
Like Langford, Atkins has been named as an emergency along with James Podsiadly and Jake Lever, who was omitted last week.
Meanwhile, the Sydney Swans have lost Sam Reid to a season-ending hamstring tear sustained last Saturday against Fremantle.
Small defender Nick Smith will return from a hamstring injury after missing the past two games, and will line up on Saturday night against North Melbourne at ANZ Stadium.
They haven't risked Luke Parker (leg) and Kieren Jack (knee), and will continue to be without Lance Franklin, who has been ruled out for the season as he deals with a mental health issue.
"He was looking OK and was close, but we just didn't want to risk him getting injured in such a cut-throat game," coach John Longmire said.
"But the good sign is he was very close."
The Swans have named Craig Bird, James Rose and Xavier Richards as their emergencies.
The Kangaroos, who will travel with a squad of 25 that includes second-year forward Kayne Turner but not veteran Daniel Wells, have named an unchanged line up.
Turner, Ryan Bastinac and Luke McDonald have been listed as emergencies.
