CARLTON has sprung a surprise by leaving experienced defender Michael Jamison out of its side to face Gold Coast at Etihad Stadium on Sunday.
Jamison made a strong return from a calf injury in the VFL last weekend and was expected to be recalled for his first senior game since round four after he was named in the Blues' 25-man squad on Thursday.
But Carlton has instead brought in David Ellard and Nick Holman, replacing suspended midfielder Bryce Gibbs and veteran Andrew Walker (knee).
The Suns have confirmed four changes for the 3.20pm clash, bringing in key forward Sam Day, talented midfielder Harley Bennell, key backman Steven May and half-forward Alex Sexton.
Out of the side goes 203cm youngster Peter Wright after two games, Clay Cameron, Jack Leslie and Danny Stanley (knee).
