The Melbourne Football Club is the founding club of the AFL. The Club is part of the fabric of the city of Melbourne and is based at Australia’s most iconic sports stadium, the Melbourne Cricket Ground. The Account Executive – Partnerships is responsible for the account management, contract fulfilment and relationship development of official Club partnerships and the Club is seeking a dynamic, passionate and responsible individual to fill this important role.
Some of the responsibilities will include:
- Implement, activate and track all assigned partner contracts
- Liaise with key stakeholders in delivering match day partnership requirements
- Identify new opportunities to grow current partnerships
- Coordination of partner signage program
- Maintenance of the digital communication schedule across the partnership team
- Provide general administration support to the partnership team
Successful applicants will have:
- Tertiary qualification in Commerce, Sports Management, Marketing or related field
- Minimum of 2+ years’ experience working in corporate partnerships/ sponsorship / account management or related field
- Demonstrated ability building and maintaining strong relationships with numerous stakeholders
- Excellent communication (written and verbal), presentation and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multi task, prioritise and effective time management skills
- Strong customer service focus
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

The expected start date for this role will be February 2016.
Successful candidates will require a current Working With Children Check. There is also a requirement to travel domestically and to assist on match days and other events as required by the Club, which will include out of office hours and weekends.
