BRISBANE Lions captain Tom Rockliff will make his comeback from broken ribs against the Sydney Swans on Sunday after six weeks on the sidelines.
Rockliff confirmed the news via a not-so-cryptic twitter update on Monday afternoon.
"To all you fantasy/dreamteam/supercoach fans who keep filling my feed the answer is Yes," Rockliff tweeted.
The 25-year-old broke his ribs for the second time this season against St Kilda in round nine.
The Lions took a more cautious approach with his recovery than the three-week period he took to overcome after the initial break against Collingwood in round one.
The star midfielder pushed hard to be available to play Fremantle on Sunday, but the club thought an extra week of training would do him good.
Rockliff is desperate to play against the Swans to help a mate celebrate a milestone. Barring any late mishaps, he'll get his wish.
Pearce Hanley – who missed the 36-point loss against the Dockers with a hamstring injury – is expected to also return on Sunday for his 100th game, an occasion Rockliff does not want to miss.
It could be the first time the duo shares the field in 2015 after Hanley missed the opening nine rounds following pre-season hip surgery.
