GREATER Western Sydney midfielder Adam Treloar says the club is perfectly placed to end its Adelaide hoodoo against the Crows on Saturday afternoon.
The Giants haven't beaten the Crows in five attempts since their inception in 2012, and have been smashed by an average margin of 87 points.
Treloar believes GWS was a different team prior to 2015, and a solid recruiting campaign at the end of last year has strengthened the club's on-field stocks.
"I suppose we were a bit younger then, we're more experienced now, we've had a lot of good experienced players come in with Joel Patfull and Ryan Griffen," Treloar said on Wednesday.
"I think we're just at a different pathway to being where we are, and we're just looking forward to this challenge. They've won five games, they've got the same record as us, and they're a very, very tough team."
If GWS can claim the Crows' scalp for the first time this week, it won't be their only milestone achievement; it will also give the Giants' their first three-game winning streak.
"We don't really speak about how many wins we get in a row, we just take each win as it comes, but three in a row is going to be really significant for us if we can get the win," Treloar said.
"We've never done that obviously, and beating Adelaide as well who have had the wood over us. We're taking it as any game. It doesn't matter who we're playing, we just can't wait to get out there."
Giants coach Leon Cameron has given Griffen the all-clear to take on the Crows, despite the star onballer being subbed out of last week's win over Carlton with a knee injury.
The former Bulldogs captain trained strongly at Spotless Stadium on Wednesday until he left the track early thanks to an accidental head knock, which left him bleeding.
While Griffen will take the field against Adelaide, co-captain Phil Davis remains in serious doubt to face his former club.
The key defender was a late withdrawal from last week's clash with the Blues after suffering a badly corked thigh against Hawthorn in round six.
"He's probably 50/50 at the moment. It just hasn't come on as quickly as what we wanted it to," Cameron said.
"It's still sort of lingered around, so if it's not right he won't play."
