MITCH Robinson has downplayed the importance of facing Carlton, saying although it carries a little extra significance, it will be "all business" when he runs out on Saturday night.
Robinson was given a lifeline by the Brisbane Lions after being delisted by the Blues at the end of 2014, and has repaid them with an excellent first season.
The fiery half-forward was part of the Lions' nine-point round six victory over Carlton at Etihad Stadium, and said it would be nice to make a season clean sweep at the Gabba.
The match is a virtual wooden spoon battle, with the club occupying the bottom two spots on the ladder.
"It's my old club so it's always going to hold a bit of passion there," Robinson said.
"There's no dancing around it, we've got two wins this year and one against my old team.
"We've got plenty to play for this year in terms of pride and getting something out of 2015, so hopefully it'll be a good game.
"We've got to come out and play to our structures and do the team things and hopefully it gets us across the line."
Robinson said there was little banter when the teams met earlier this year and he expected the same this time around.
"Just a few texts here and there, but on the field it gets thrown out the window and is back to business," he said.
"At the start there was a few niggles with Andrew Walker who was playing on me, but he's a good friend of mine.
"It's all business when you get out there and you just try to get the win."
Robinson has been a 'Mr Fix-it' for the Lions this season, filling forward line holes for the injury-hit team before settling into a midfield role after the bye.
He has got better as the season has worn on, averaging 22 disposals and 10 tackles over the past five games.
"Since I've been in the midfield it's felt like I'm back at home, doing my role, (winning) contested possessions and tackling and getting on the scoreboard every now and then," he said.
"I'm really enjoying my time up here.
"I can tell you now every player goes out there to win. We're going to be bringing 110 per cent tomorrow night. You don't want to win the wooden spoon."
