WILL Minson's hopes of returning to the Western Bulldogs' senior side have been further dented after the ruckman accepted a one-match ban from the VFL Tribunal.
Minson, who returned from a week on the sidelines with a shoulder complaint, pleaded guilty to the charge of unreasonable or unnecessary contact to the face.
The 30-year-old was reported by the officiating umpire in Saturday's game against Coburg at Piranha Park.
Around the leagues: How your club's players fared in the twos
It is not the first time Minson has attracted the ire of the VFL tribunal this season after he was handed a four-match suspension for intentionally making contact with an umpire.
The charge was later overturned at an appeal hearing into the matter and was instead given a severe reprimand and a $7500 fine.
Minson has struggled to break into Luke Beveridge's improving team in 2015, managing just nine games for the season.
He last played for the Dogs against Gold Coast in Cairns in round 15 and Beveridge has shown a preference for Tom Campbell or Ayce Cordy in the ruck.
Minson, who is contracted until the end of the 2016 season, has now played 188 games in 13 seasons on the Dogs' list.
Meanwhile, Geelong's Daniel Menzel has accepted a $400 fine for making careless contact with an umpire.
In his third VFL hit-out since a fourth ACL injury, Menzelpicked up 18 touches (11 contested), kicked two goals and won six clearances as he closes in on his long-awaited return to AFL football.
