ESSENDON'S Courtenay Dempsey will face the AFL Tribunal for his rough tackle on Richmond star Brett Deledio, after the Match Review Panel graded the incident as "severe".
The senior Bomber will learn his fate at the Tribunal on Tuesday night after the incident was assessed as careless conduct and severe impact to the head.
Deledio was fortunate to escape injury in the tackle, which came only minutes before the final siren of Essendon's loss to Richmond on Saturday night.

A suspension will cast further doubt on Dempsey's future, with the free agent out of contract at the end of this season having struggled to capture any form in 2015.

Dempsey's case was the only significant outcome of the MRP's findings on Monday, with the League coffers set to swell by $22,500 for fines.
North Melbourne half-back Shaun Atley was more fortunate for his sling tackle on Western Bulldogs midfielder Lachie Hunter.
The MRP viewed the incident as careless but said there was not sufficient force to constitute a report.
Geelong veterans James Kelly and Steve Johnson will both be free to play against Adelaide this weekend in what might be their farewell games after being hit with financial sanctions for respective incidents.
Kelly was charged with striking Collingwood's Alex Fasolo and can accept a $1000 fine, while Johnson's rough conduct against Magpie Nathan Brown drew a $1500 fine if he accepts with an early plea.
There was $16,000 worth of fines shared between 17 players for the half-time melee involving Gold Coast and Port Adelaide, while Carlton's Tom Bell and GWS midfielder Adam Treloar were fined $1000 for wrestling each other.
