THE WESTERN Bulldogs have received a boost ahead of Saturday night's elimination final against Adelaide with five players recommitting to the club.
Veterans Matthew Boyd and Dale Morris will play on in 2016 after both signed one-year deals, while 2015 debutants Toby McLean, Caleb Daniel and Josh Prudden have received an extra year on their existing deals.
Boyd, who nearly joined the mass exodus from Whitten Oval at the end of last season, has been a revelation across half-back in 2015.
The 32-year-old's sparkling form has been rewarded with a spot in the All Australian squad.
"Playing a new role down back it's been exciting, it's been fun and I've loved the challenge and I'm looking forward to the challenges that lie ahead," Boyd, who played his 250th game in round 14, said.
Morris, also 32, has been another crucial cog in the Bulldogs' renaissance this season, providing much needed experience to the Dogs' key defensive stocks.
"I'm absolutely thrilled to be going on again another year, I just love the club and love playing footy and to go again I'm rapt." Morris, who played his 200th game in round 16, said.

2014 draftees McLean (pick 26) and Daniel (pick 46) have both inked one-year extensions that will see them remain at Whitten Oval until the end of the 2017 season.
McLean has impressed as a medium forward with sharp skills and nose for a goal.
"It's really exciting, I've had a really good first year and I can’t wait to play again," McLean told the club's website
"I didn’t think I would even play one AFL game this year, so to play four it was good that he (Luke Beveridge) had faith in me."
While Daniel, the competition's smallest at player 167cm, has shown height is no barrier by performing well in nine senior games this season.
"It's definitely a pretty exciting time to be around the club, playing finals and the development of the boys this year and hopefully beyond is pretty exciting," Daniel said
Prudden, who has battled injuries in his three seasons at the Dogs, has been rewarded with a one-year deal after four encouraging games in 2015.
The quintet join a host of players including Jake Stringer, Jack Macrae, Luke Dahlhaus, Easton Wood and Mitch Wallis to show faith in the Bulldogs' direction under Luke Beveridge.
The rush of signatures leave forward Jarrad Grant as one of few Bulldogs left uncontracted for 2016.
