DID THE two black garbage bags loaded into Patrick Dangerfield's car on Monday morning contain the contents of the superstar's locker?
Apparently not, according to Adelaide defender Jake Kelly who, after throwing the bags onto the back seat, drove Dangerfield's car to the entrance of the club's gym on Monday.
The free agent quickly exited the building and slipped into his driver's seat, avoiding waiting journalists and cameras in the process.
Kelly lives with Dangerfield and insisted the bags were his, although he saw the humour in the situation.
The football world awaits Dangerfield's decision as to where he intends to play next season, with some reports predicting he will walk out on the Crows and join Geelong.
Fairfax Media reported on Monday night that Dangerfield had told Adelaide last month that he was bound for Geelong.
The timing of his public announcement remains unclear. It may be delayed until the week of the Grand Final, due to Saturday night's best and fairest function followed by next Monday night's Brownlow Medal count.
The playing and coaching groups met on Monday morning to review Friday night's 74-point semi-final loss to Hawthorn.
The club will hold exit interviews early this week and convene for a lunch on Wednesday before breaking for the off-season.
Former NBL basketballer Hugh Greenwood - who the Crows recently signed as a Category B rookie - cut a lone figure as he continued training on Max Basheer Reserve, undoubtedly keen to put his best foot forward from day one of pre-season.
Adelaide must also appoint a permanent senior coach, which the club said would take place within the next three weeks.
