WESTERN Bulldogs big man Tom Boyd is under an injury cloud after leaving Etihad Stadium in the Good Friday clash against North Melbourne following a head clash.
Boyd was involved in a collision with opponent Scott Thompson in the first quarter and came from the ground immediately with the help of trainers.
He was assessed for concussion and facial fractures before returning, but further assessment at quarter-time saw him pulled from the match for the entire second quarter.
The premiership hero had significant swelling around his left eye socket and did not re-emerge from the rooms.
The Bulldogs, who were on the back foot against the Kangaroos, also lost ruckman Tom Campbell for a period in the second quarter and were forced to use 190cm midfielder Josh Dunkley in the ruck.
Campbell had his ankle strapped and returned halfway through the second quarter.
