GREATER Western Sydney coach Leon Cameron knows his side can't keep playing Houdini all season but he'll happily take their perfect record in close games this season.
The Giants added Richmond to their list of comeback victims on Saturday night at Spotless Stadium, just seven days after breaking Collingwood's hearts at the same venue, and they also beat the Western Bulldogs in round six to give them three single-figure wins for the year.
Five talking points: Greater Western Sydney v Richmond
GWS gave up six goals to one in the opening term, and still trailed by 27 points early in the last, and although Cameron admits that his team isn't in peak form, the narrow victories are invaluable in the context of this season.
"They make a massive difference, a huge difference," he said.
"I think we've got a good steely resolve which is pleasing, and it's really hard to train that.
"When things aren't working, and there were a number of players who didn't play their best footy, they found a way in the last quarter.
"We didn't play well, and Richmond should have won the game, they were far better than us throughout the night.
"It's a ruthless game, I mean we sit here and celebrate a three-point win, and we were in front for one minute out of 120."

Given their already extensive injury list, the Giants will be sweating on the fitness of big man Rory Lobb this week, after he was forced out of the game in the third quarter with a groin problem.
Lobb is in doubt for next week's clash against West Coast in Perth, but Cameron said it's an issue his club has to deal with.
"Matt de Boer comes in and plays his role, and Daniel Lloyd, Sam Reid, Harry Perryman, these sorts of guys, they're having little moments throughout games that are helping us win," he said.
"We've just got to keep putting 22 players out there each week, and that’s the good thing about the team at the moment, the 22 that run out are playing some good, hard footy."
