GREATER Western Sydney forward Toby Greene is staring at his second suspension this season after he was reported for striking Alex Rance in Sunday's clash against Richmond at the MCG.

Greene is likely to be suspended for two matches after grabbing Rance's jumper in the first quarter of Sunday's clash and landing a closed fist on the Richmond defender's chin.

The All Australian forward has a bad record following his two-match suspension for striking Western Bulldogs midfielder Caleb Daniel in round six, meaning any suspension will carry a one-match loading.

The strike on Rance is likely to be graded as intentional conduct with low impact to the head, drawing a one-match sanction with an early guilty plea.

Greene's bad record loading would then be applied, resulting in a two-match ban for the half-forward, who has been charged by the MRP seven times in his 110-game career.

The 23-year-old, who has been charged three times this season, was taken straight from the ground after the incident.
