PORT Adelaide defender Logan Austin has requested a trade to St Kilda for more opportunities of playing senior football.
The 22-year-old is contracted to the Power until the end of 2018, but played just two games this year and faces plenty of competition to become a regular in the side.
The Saints are looking to strengthen their key defensive stocks after they were unable to get a deal done for Greater Western Sydney's Adam Tomlinson.
Trade wrap: Dockers drive hard Weller bargain
Austin, originally from Canberra, was selected by the Power at No.69 pick in the 2014 NAB AFL Draft.
He is good mates with Saints midfielder Jack Steele, with the pair having played their junior football together.
The final day of the Trade Period will be a busy one for the Power as they also look to find new homes for forward Aaron Young and ruckman Matthew Lobbe.
Young is set to join Gold Coast, while Lobbe has been linked with a move to Carlton after earlier interest from the Brisbane Lions and Gold Coast evaporated.
