FEISTY Collingwood defender Brayden Maynard has signed a contract extension which will tie him to the club until the end of 2020.
Maynard had been signed until the end of 2018 before penning this latest two-year deal.
The 21-year-old played every game this year to take his career tally to 51.
"We are rapt to have Brayden extend his contract with the club through to 2020," list manager Ned Guy told collingwoodfc.com.au.
"With over 50 games under his belt, I'm confident Brayden is only just beginning to help drive the high standards this playing group will take into next season and beyond."
After playing in the midfield for the final game of 2017 and picking up 23 disposals in an impressive performance as the Pies beat Melbourne, Maynard will spend more time as an onballer next year.
"Brayden's hard work both on and off-field will see him spending more time through the midfield in 2018," Guy said.
Maynard was drafted with pick No.30 in 2014.
