FORWARD Stewart Crameri headlines a list of six players officially delisted by Geelong on Tuesday.

Crameri, Aaron Black, Ryan Gardner, Cory Gregson, Matthew Hayball and Timm House were all told they would not be getting contracts next year.

Handed a rookie lifeline by the Cats this year, Crameri added four games to his career total of 103 at his third club, following stints at Essendon and Western Bulldogs.

Crameri battled various injuries throughout the season, requiring surgery on a poked eye and struggling with constant groin soreness in the latter stages. 

Injury-plagued small forward Gregson has also been cut from after 10 games this season. 

The 22-year-old was ruled out for the remainder of the season following his fourth round of surgery to repair his navicular bone in July.

Gregson played 39 games, including 20 in his debut season in 2015.

Key position players House and Gardner were told in exit meetings over the past two days they would be delisted without playing a senior game.

Untried defender Hayball was also informed his time was up after his third year at GMHBA Stadium with the South Australian given a second-chance via the Rookie Draft ahead of 2018.

Swingman Black learnt his fate on Monday after seven games in two seasons at the Cats following a trade from North Melbourne at the end of 2016. 

Head of football Simon Lloyd thanked the six players for their time at the club.

"We sincerely thank all six players for their service to the club, whether it be over a short or a long period, these players have all made a contribution to Geelong as footballers and as quality people," Lloyd said.

"The club wishes them all the best as they embark on their future endeavours."

It leaves the Cats with eight players out of contract as they head for their end-of-season break.

Contract negotiations remain ongoing for free agent Daniel Menzel, wingman Jordan Murdoch and ruckman Ryan Abbott.

Rookies Jamaine Jones and Sam Simpson are set to be retained, while unrestricted free agent Jackson Thurlow and midfielder George Horlin-Smith are out-of-contract.

Horlin-Smith has received interest from Gold Coast.  

"We're obviously interested (in Horlin-Smith)," Suns coach Sturt Dew told SEN on Tuesday.

"We know he has come from a good system, he's durable, he's a pro and he might be looking for a greater opportunity."

Despite an offer from the Cats, livewire forward Lincoln McCarthy revealed on Sunday he was considering a fresh start elsewhere with interest from Brisbane.
