THOUSANDS of West Coast fans have given their Eagles heroes the perfect Grand Final send-off in an open training session on Monday.
More than 10,000 supporters converged on Subiaco Oval for the club's only open training run before heading east to Melbourne for Saturday's decider against Collingwood at the MCG.
Coinciding with school holidays and the West Australian Queen's Birthday public holiday, the Eagles' light skills session lasted around 40 minutes.
Star defender Jeremy McGovern was the only player from Saturday's preliminary final win over Melbourne not sighted as he battles a corked hip.
Midfielder Luke Shuey took part, showing no signs of the ankle concern sustained in the clash with the Demons, kicking on both feet before speaking to fans after the session.
One of the biggest cheers of the day was reserved for injured ruckman Nic Naitanui who came out before the rest of his teammates.
Suspended midfielder Andrew Gaff, who is weighing up a long-term offer to move to North Melbourne, also took part.
