THE future of Lachie Neale remains up in the air, with the Fremantle midfielder still weighing up a potential move to Brisbane in next month's NAB AFL Trade Period.
Although he still has a year to run on his contract with the Dockers, the Lions have already contacted Neale's management regarding the prospect of a move and would reportedly be prepared to part with their first-round draft pick in order to complete a trade.

However, with the gun onballer likely to have the final say on whether he makes a high-profile move to play for Brisbane next season, or sees out his contract with Fremantle, Neale said he's still the best part of a fortnight away from making his final decision.
"I'm still working through it," Neale said prior to Monday night's Brownlow Medal.
"We've got a couple of weeks to get our heads around what we want to do. I'll probably take most of that time as well to sort it out. We'll wait and see what happens.
"We've got to consider everything. It's a pretty big move across the other side of the country, if that's what we decide.
"I've got nothing bad to say about Fremantle, I love the footy club and the people there. It's a tough decision, but we'll work through it."
WHEN DOES TRADE PERIOD START? All the key dates
Although it has been reported that Brisbane has long been chasing Neale, the 25-year-old said he didn't hear about the club's interest in him until after Fremantle's year ended.
"I didn't really speak to my management about it until after the year," Neale said.
"I think they had something going a little bit behind doors. I didn't hear about it until the season finished for us.
"You hear things every now and then, so I wasn't too surprised, but we took it in our stride and we'll see what happens."
