IT'S ALL smiles at the Brisbane Lions after their weekend win over Carlton, but vice-captain Dayne Zorko says it's back to business as they now focus on avoiding the wooden spoon.

The Lions' 64-point hammering of Carlton moved them three percentage points ahead of the Blues and into 17th place.

The Lions will start massive underdogs in the final three rounds against Adelaide, Hawthorn and the Western Bulldogs, while Carlton plays Melbourne, GWS and the Hawks.

Zorko said if the Lions could replicate the run-and-gun form that helped them dismiss Carlton, anything was possible.

"The boys have big smiles on their faces," Zorko said on Tuesday morning. 

"It's pretty much back to business now and making sure we can implement that against Adelaide this week, and try and get another win and keep this nice feeling going. 

"I don't think anyone ever wants to finish last and get the wooden spoon.

"It's important we stay off the bottom now because no-one wants to finish last."

The win over Carlton snapped an 11-game losing streak for the Lions and breathed just a touch of life into a forgettable season.

Led by Mitch Robinson's 33-disposal, 15-tackle performance, the midfield put together its most complete performance of the year at the Gabba. 

Zorko said it was tough to imagine a more difficult three matches to finish the year, starting with the white-hot Crows.

"It's a really good opportunity for us to continue the way we went about it on Saturday night and challenge them and see what we can do," he said.

"We've got a really tough run with Adelaide, Hawthorn and then the Dogs who are flying … you never say never. 

"Hopefully we're able to pinch a win along the way, which would be great for the morale of the boys and to finish off the season with a few positives."
