McEvoy is the major news here. His right ankle got caught under him in a Nathan Broad tackle and he tried to return in the second quarter, but was done for the day by half-time. McEvoy sustained a syndesmosis sprain and could be out for a significant time. Ex-Saint Minchington has suffered a second hamstring setback this year. Frawley, Smith and Wingard are all a chance to return against Port Adelaide on Saturday. The Hawks completed only a light training session on Tuesday, but Wingard moved well and remained on the ground for longer than most of his teammates to complete extra goalkicking practice. - Marc McGowan
