CARLTON headlines a list of four clubs sanctioned by the AFL on Thursday for failing to update their players' post-season movements.

The Blues have been slapped with a $10,000 fine under the League's drug testing code with the Australian Sports Anti-Doping Authority where players are required to provide up-to-date information on their whereabouts to permit out-of-competition drug testing.

AFL players are given a phone app to keep their location posted, however it is the clubs that are handed the sanction if rules are broken.

Melbourne was hit with $5000, while reigning premiers Richmond and the Western Bulldogs received $2500 each.

The Tigers were previously fined in December 2017, also forced to pay a further $5000 at the time for a previously suspended sanction.
