THE MIGHTY Sydney has been at the forefront of Fantasy conversations since the season of 2016, when three of its midfield group averaged close to 110 each.
Although it feels like that those days are now behind them, the Swans still have many young Fantasy options, along with the some veterans still getting the job done.

Before injury struck, Josh P. Kennedy (MID, $744,000) was winding back the clock averaging 108 in his first eight games. Kennedy has been the heart of the Sydney midfield and reminded everyone of how good he can be in the final round of the year when he had 32 possessions, nine tackles and two goals for a season-high 150.
So what else do they have on offer? They certainly have the talent and players with a lot of potential, so who will step up in 2020?

Lock them in
Jake Lloyd (DEF, $795,000) is the best defender in the game and therefore he is the most expensive after averaging a career-high 107. His ability to play on from the square and receive cheap little marks is like no other player in the game. Not only are you paying for a walk-up top-six defender, you’re paying for a durable player who has missed only one game in the past four years.
Track their pre-season
Have you heard the news? Lance Franklin (FWD, $523,000) is fit and trim, and ready to go! It’s quite unusual to see Franklin up and about before Christmas but that is exactly what we are seeing and hearing from a very excited Sydney camp. Franklin managed his fewest amount of games last season in his 15-year career and because of this interrupted season he is now priced at 71, which is remarkably lower than the 92, 96 and 94 he averaged leading into 2019.

Dual-position tempter
With just three scores over 120 in his 102-game career, Fantasy coaches are still holding their breath, waiting for Isaac Heeney (MID/FWD, $666,000) to take his average into the high 90s or low 100s. The stats don’t lie. Heeney has now averaged 90, 91 and 92 over the past three years. However, this year there are only seven forwards available who averaged in the 90s and Heeney is one of them. If you feel that this is his year and he'll take his game to the next level, then he is a low-risk selection in your team.

Draft sleeper
So who is Jordan Dawson (DEF/FWD, $614,000)? His name will be overlooked on Draft day as he is a bit of an unknown quantity. He averaged 83 for the year in a standout season which included four scores over 105. He played 20 games after just five games in the two years before. Dawson recently won the club's 2km time trail and will only improve on what he delivered in 2019. With limited forwards to choose from, he can be drafted with confidence.
Bargain basement
He's a talented left-footer who has been likened to West Coast's Andrew Gaff. Dylan Stephens (MID, $262,000) was taken at No.5 in the NAB AFL Draft after averaging 87 in the NAB Under-18 Championships. Will Gould (DEF, $220,000) is a big-bodied defender, and just like Stephens we could see him also named to start the year. The promising sign for these two rookies is that they had a year in the SANFL, where they proved their worth averaging 79 and 73 respectively.
Forgotten warrior
For durability alone, you cannot look past Luke Parker (MID, $731,000) when you think of a Sydney warrior. He has missed just four games in the past six years and hasn't dropped under an average of 96 in that time. He's the kind of guy you want in your Draft team as you know he'll be there every week getting the job done.
Buyer beware
"This will be the year that Callum Mills (DEF, $559,000) breaks out." Or will it? Since debuting four seasons ago, Mills has averaged between 69 and 75. Every year we anticipate that this will be the year he breaks out and moves his average into the 90s. Every year we hear that "he'll get more midfield time" or "he'll score more with Jarrad McVeigh gone" but it never seems to happen. Mills is still young and has a huge future ahead of him. He will break out in Fantasy terms soon enough, but will it be in 2020?
