WEST Coast has been a happy Fantasy hunting ground for coaches for many years.
Every season its players are consistent and this year it has the second-most players on the list who averaged 90+ last season.

Unfortunately for Fantasy coaches, the Eagles don't have many rookies on the radar likely to play early in the season.
However, this club is full of stars and genuine Fantasy options such as Luke Shuey (MID, $749,000) who for the first time in his 10-year career averaged over the magical 100. This was theme for the club veterans in 2019 as Shannon Hurn (DEF, $678,000) in his 14th season finally mastered the Fantasy game and also had a career-high average of 91.

Lock them in
Coming off back-to-back seasons averaging 111, Andrew Gaff (MID, $824,000) is one of the uber-premiums in the game. He scored 121 and 120 in the AFL finals and should be drafted in the first round of your draft league.
Track their pre-season
It's an interesting one, but Nic Naitanui (RUC, $471,000) is way too cheap to ignore. Naitanui only played three games for the season, which entitles him to a discount, pricing him at an average of only 64. He played two games in the finals where he scored 96 and 77 but it was his time on ground which was the concern for Fantasy coaches as he only managed 62 and 53 per cent time on ground in those games.
More brilliance from Nic Naitanui!

Dual-position tempter
With only one listed player with dual-position status, let's have a quick look at Jarrod Brander (DEF/FWD, $217,000). Drafted at pick No.13 in 2017, Brander has managed just three games with the Eagles across two seasons. Their best 22 is just too good for him to crack into and key forwards take time to develop.
Bargain basement
For the first time in a long time, Josh J. Kennedy (FWD, $401,000) is having a solid pre-season. His average has dropped over the past few years from 82 to 65 and now to 54 as it sits after 2019. The thing is, Kennedy is way better than that and can average 80+, just like he has four times in the past seven years. He's massively under-priced and a name to monitor this pre-season.
Draft slider
Tim Kelly (MID, $719,000) is a Draft slider, because surely he doesn't average 97 again. In his time with Geelong, Kelly never missed a game and increased his average from his debut season by 10 points. There is no reason at all why Kelly can't take his game to a higher level, to potentially average 105+.
Forgotten warrior
In arguably the best midfield in the competition with the likes of Gaff, Kelly and Shuey, you'd be forgiven if you overlooked Elliot Yeo (MID, $762,000). Yeo averaged 103 last year after a career-high average of 107 from the year before. He is a tackling machine and laid 10+ in six games last year. Yeo finished the season strongly as well, scoring 110+ in three of his final four games.

Buyer beware
If you got 10 points for a hanger and 20 points for an amazing goal from the boundary, then you'd be locking in Liam Ryan (FWD, $422,000) as your first picked player. Unfortunately, Fantasy doesn't work like that and from Ryan's first two entertaining seasons he is yet to crack an average of 60.
