Made the most of Geelong's reluctance to put hard tags on players to be Port's best four-quarter performer. Capped off a great season by tallying 26 touches and four clearances.
Matthew Broadbent - 6
Spent most of the game roaming through the midfield and pushing back to help the Power's defenders. Went forward to kick a goal early in the last quarter, which kept Port in touch. Was one of few Power players to perform better in the second half than the first.

Alipate Carlile - 6
Did a fine job on Tom Hawkins, limiting the Cats forward to just two goals. Also won a bit of the ball himself.
Domenic Cassisi - 5
Went toe-to-toe with Steve Johnson for the night and battled hard, although the star Cat got away from him in the end. Finished with 13 possessions to Johnson's 25.
Sam Colquhoun - 4
Line up across half-back and looked a bit overawed during the early stages of the game. Push forward and had the chance to kick the opening goal of the game, but missed a reasonably easy chance. Spent some time manning Paul Chapman in the third quarter. Was subbed off in the last term to make way for Aaron Young.
Kane Cornes - 6
Didn't have a run-with role, as is often the case, so ran freely through the midfield. Was a driving force behind Port's blistering first half. But after going into the long break with 16 touches to his name, he picked up only five more in the second half.
Brad Ebert - 5
Kicked Port's first goal of the game, 20 minutes into the opening quarter. Won his share of the ball but didn't have a great impact on the contest.
Robbie Gray - 5
Looked very dangerous up forward during the first half, and handed Port its 23-point half-time lead after slotting a free kick for a push in the back. Was on the end of a high bump that is likely to see Geelong veteran Paul Chapman ruled out of next weekend's preliminary final against Hawthorn.
Hamish Hartlett - 6
Shoulder issues flared in the first quarter, but he recovered to play out the game. Won 19 disposals and four clearances but did not have a big impact on proceedings. Gave Port a late sniff when he snapped a goal that narrowed the margin to 10 points with two minutes left in the game.
Tom Jonas - 5
Battled hard in the backline, helping Carlile by double-teaming Hawkins at times.
Matthew Lobbe - 6
Gave Port the lead at quarter-time with an accurate set shot after winning a free kick. The Cats remembered him winning 59 hit-outs down at Simonds Stadium in round 20, so they often double-teamed teamed him at ball-ups and boundary throw-ins. As a result, Lobbe was restricted to 28 hit-outs and just nine possessions.
Tom Logan - 6
Kicked a fine goal in the second quarter, which put the Power 15 points up. Spent a bit of time trying to keep Steven Motlop quiet in third quarter. Won a reasonable amount of the ball himself.
Angus Monfries - 6
Manned up by emerging Geelong backman Cameron Guthrie in the early stages of the game, Monfries kicked Port's second goal and was among his team's most dangerous players during the first half. Faded after the long break, but was not on his own in that regard.
Andrew Moore - 5
Another Port player who was at his best in the first half. Had 14 possessions by the long break after roaming between half-forward and half-back. Finished with 18.
Cameron O'Shea - 6
Won plenty of the ball in the back half of the ground. Started well and faded after the long break.
Jasper Pittard - 4
Spent much of his night chasing the Cats' fleet-footed half-forwards.
Jay Schulz - 5
Made the most of a dodgy free kick against Geelong defender Jared Rivers late in the third quarter to level the scores. Also took a strong mark and booted a goal late in the game. But overall he lowered his colours to Tom Lonergan.
Jackson Trengove - 7
Did a great job on Cats key forward James Podsiadly. Held Podsiadly goalless and limited him to just five possessions. Also won 12 disposals of his own.
Justin Westhoff - 7
Picked up by Rivers. Put Port 15 points up in the second quarter with a brilliant set shot from near the boundary. And kicked the goal of the year late in the game. Under extreme pressure from Travis Varcoe and with the boundary line looming, he quickly placed the ball on his boot and his banana kick curved straight through. Finished with 19 touches and three goals, which was a very solid effort.
Oliver Wines - 4
A quiet game from a young man who will be much better for the experience.
Chad Wingard - 6
One of the few Port players who gave a yelp during the third quarter. Picked up eight touches and won two clearances during the third term, but faded in the final quarter. Will also be much better for the experience of playing in the finals.
Aaron Young - 2
Started as the sub and replaced Colquhoun in the last quarter. Finished with three handballs.
