POST-SEASON BREAK
The Brisbane Lions players will commence their post-season break from this Wednesday 1 September.

Some players will return on Monday 4 October to prepare for the Shanghai Showdown exhibition match against Melbourne in China as part of the 2010 Shanghai World Expo. The Club's China Tour travelling party will depart on Tuesday 12 October and the match will be played at Jiangwan Sports Centre on Sunday 17 October.

The players will then take a further three weeks off before officially commencing their 2011 pre-season campaign on Monday 8 November.

CLUB CHAMPION DINNER
The Brisbane Lions' annual Club Champion dinner will be held on Thursday 9 September at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre.

This end-of-season 'night of nights' brings players, coaches, staff and fans together to celebrate and recognise the season's highest achievers.

The evening culminates in the presentation of the Merrett-Murray Medal for the Club's Best & Fairest player.

A range of other individual awards will also be presented throughout the night including Rookie of the Year, Shaun Hart Most Courageous Player, Marcus Ashcroft Most Professional Player, Players' Player of the Year and Members' Player of the Year.

Only six Lions players featured in every game this season - Brent Staker, Jack Redden, Daniel Rich, Todd Banfield, Michael Rischitelli and Matthew Leuenberger.

The Lions will have three players vying for the 2010 Ron Evans Medal at this Wednesday's AFL Rising Star awards ceremony in Melbourne after Todd Banfield (Round 6), Tom Rockliff (Round 13) and Jack Redden (Round 15) each received Rising Star nominations throughout the 2010 season. Lions midfielder Daniel Rich is the reigning AFL Rising Star.

The Brisbane Lions finished the 2010 season with seven wins and 15 losses to place 13th on the AFL ladder. It is the Club's lowest ladder position since 2006 when the Lions finished 13th with an identical win/loss record of seven wins and 15 losses.
