Jonas was the highest-scoring key defender across the weekend and was Port Adelaide's third-best player with 16.5 points. He took three contested marks and won 10 contested possessions.

The boy from the western Victorian town of Cobden was the highest-scoring player on preliminary final weekend. He tallied a career-best 28.3 points in the Swans' big win over North Melbourne. He had 12 intercept possessions (five more than any other player on the ground), seven spoils (three of which went directly to a teammate), 577 metres gained, three score assists and was involved in 11 scoring chains.




Luke Parker (Sydney Swans)
Parker was the second-highest scoring player in the Swans' win over North with 25 points – the third-best of his career. He finished with 26 disposals, 14 contested possessions, eight tackles, three contested marks and three goals. He has moved up to a career-high position of 47th overall – his first time in the top 50 after starting the year in 176th.




Robbie Gray (Port Adelaide)
The dynamic midfielder was Port Adelaide's best player and the second-highest rated player in the game against Hawthorn with 24.6 points – the third-best of his career. He had 25 disposals, 17 contested possessions and kicked three goals straight. He has moved up to 35th overall after starting the season in 370th (due to an injury-shortened 2012 season) – the biggest rise of any player in the competition.


Adam Goodes (Sydney Swans)
The 350-game veteran was the highest scoring small-medium forward across the weekend with 17.7 points. He kicked three goals, gave two score assists and was involved in a total of 10 scoring chains.


The superstar sharp-shooter was the third-highest scoring player in Friday night's game with 23.4 points. He kicked five goals, took five contested marks and gave five score assists. Franklin sits eighth overall and is sixth in the competition for average rating per game this season.



Goldstein was North Melbourne’s highest-scoring player in its loss to the Swans on Friday night with 16.7 points. Eight Swans players outscored him, but he comfortably outscored fellow ruckman Mike Pyke (7.1 points). Goldstein tallied nine hit-outs to advantage, nine contested possessions and a goal.

Ben Brown (North Melbourne)
Brown was tallied the best score of the four first-year players who ran around on the weekend. He scored 9.1 player ratings points, which was the sixth-best game of his 11-match career. Brown kicked two goals straight but wasn't involved in any of North Melbourne’s other scores.
