Hawthorn’s first round pre-season cup draw has been unveiled, with the Hawks set to take on West Coast and Fremantle in Western Australia.

The AFL clubs have been divided into six pools of three teams who will battle it out at one venue playing two games consisting of two 20-minute halves.

The Hawks are part of the third pool scheduled to play-out at Patersons Stadium (formerly Subiaco Oval) on Sunday 13 February in a round robin-style competition:

West Coast v Hawthorn
Hawthorn v Fremantle
West Coast v Fremantle


The team that wins both their games will automatically progress to the second round.

The two best performing runners-up in Round 1 overall progress as wildcards.

All second-round matches (as well as the semi-final and grand final) will be full length games.

The Hawks’ matches will be broadcast on FOX.
