Geelong has added premiership midfielder Travis Varcoe, the versatile Ryan Gamble and first year players Mitch Duncan and Allen Christensen to its squad to face Richmond.
The Cats must cull the squad back to 22 players on Friday afternoon.
Varcoe has not played this year after breaking his thumb in the last practice game against Fremantle. Duncan played the first four games of the season before missing last week with general soreness, while Gamble has played once this season, in round three against the Dockers.
Christensen has yet to make his AFL debut but he was selected in two practice matches.
Max Rooke will miss with knee tendonitis after playing against Carlton on Monday.
