PORT Adelaide captain Tom Jonas has turned to the paddocks on his family's Murray River "shack" to maintain fitness standards in lockdown.
Jonas will be released from quarantine on Sunday after Power players and officials were forced to follow South Australian restrictions and self-isolate for 14 days upon returning from their round one win over Gold Coast.
He has headed to the family's vacant property with only his dog, mixing university study with three training sessions a week.
"With the isolation it's tough to get out on public ovals and gyms so we've pillaged the club for all of their fitness gear," Jonas told the club's Facebook page on Wednesday.
"I'm lucky enough here I can run around in the paddocks out the back."
While Jonas has a gym bench and dumbbells, he revealed other players have been forced to have treadmills delivered to home to deal with the measures.
"I think the country boys have enjoyed it in the most, they can get on the farm and help out," he said.
"It's a really good chance to spend some time with loved ones."
