AFL General Manager - People, Customer & Community Dorothy Hisgrove has congratulated the West Australian Football Commission and staff at Patersons Stadium on winning a Pinnacle Award for Human Resource Management Excellence.
The awards, run by The West Australian newspaper and the Australian Institute of Management, seek to highlight the best in businesses across Western Australia in a range of areas. Judges praised it as “a beacon of human resources excellence” for its successful use of induction programs, scenario training and mock drills.
Ms Hisgrove said the AFL was delighted that the WAFC was leading the way in its state and the wider AFL community would continue to lift its standards to ensure working within football remained a highly-desirable career option for talented individuals.
“Off the field, the football industry wants to find and develop the very best talent in the workforce, in the same way that our clubs develop talent on the field,” Ms Hisgrove said.
“On behalf of the AFL, I want to pass on my congratulations to the WAFC for their work and for the strong example they have set for the game.”
