Howe was asked to leave by the ground's security staff on Wednesday after a confrontation with fans during the opening day of the second Test between Australia and Sri Lanka.
It is believed the trio had joined former Demons players Jared Rivers and Ricky Petterd - who have moved on to rival clubs Geelong and Richmond respectively - and a group of other friends as spectators.
Melbourne players are on leave but a Demons spokesman on Thursday confirmed Howe, Frawley and Dunn would be asked to explain themselves to the leadership group or management.
"The matter will be dealt with ... when they all get back to training," a Tigers spokesman was quoted by Fairfax Media.
An AFL spokesman said the League would not take any action against the players.
Melbourne finished the season in 16th place and are due to respond to the AFL over evidence the club tanked games for draft picks in 2009.
All Demons players will return to training by January 7.
