SYDNEY Swans coach Paul Roos said he was "pretty disappointed" that an incident involving Barry Hall and Bulldog Lindsay Gilbee on Sunday has been raised in the media.

"Incidents that happened with Hally probably happen ten times in a game. So it's all getting a little tedious and boring," Roos said on Monday.

The incident in question occurred after Gilbee fell back apparently after a challenge to the head from Hall.

"No-one at the footy club even knew about it," Roos added. "He pulled his arm away ... it was an innocuous thing.

"As a footy club we probably cop it sweet if we've done the wrong thing, but this is really just a Barry Hall fixation."

Hall has been suspended for eight weeks by the AFL tribunal this year over two separate striking incidents on Eagle Brent Staker and Shane Wakelin of Collingwood.

Roos was happy with Hall's performance, which included three goals in his side's 16-point loss to the Bulldogs at Manuka Oval on Sunday.

"Six scoring shots and in the second quarter we only went inside 50m seven times so it was hard for him to get hold of the ball," said Roos.

"He ended up kicking three and he could've had six."

Roos added that he expected Hall to be treated like any other player. "It's laughable and this is becoming a bit farcical," he said of the media scrutiny on his spearhead.
