The defender faced a level two offence for tripping Richmond’s Jack Riewoldt in the fourth quarter of the weekend's match at Subiaco Oval and was offered a one-match suspension.
However, the club successfully challenged the conduct classification, arguing that Dodd’s action was in fact reckless and not intentional.
Dodd was obviously pleased with the result.
“I am happy with the outcome of the hearing this afternoon as I never intended to trip Riewoldt and I am now just looking forward to playing against Adelaide on Saturday,” he said.
